Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains how payment, cancellation, and refunds work for a GMR3D Engineering project. See also our Terms & Conditions.

Projects booked through Upwork

If you engaged us through Upwork, that engagement is covered by Upwork’s own payment protection and refund terms first — fixed-price milestones and hourly contracts each have their own Upwork dispute process. This policy fills in details for anything Upwork’s terms don’t cover.

How payment works

Projects are billed by deposit or milestone: an agreed portion is paid before work starts on a stage, and the rest as each milestone is delivered. Work on a stage begins only once its payment is confirmed.

Cancelling before work starts

If you cancel before we’ve started work on a paid milestone, that milestone is refunded in full.

Cancelling after work has started

Once work has started on a milestone, that milestone is non-refundable, since it reflects time and effort already spent on your design. Any milestone not yet started remains refundable. Work completed up to the point of cancellation (files, drawings, models) is delivered to you.

Revisions vs. new scope

Reasonable revisions within the agreed brief are included and are not grounds for a refund. A change of direction, added parts, or a different process/material after work has started is treated as new scope, quoted and paid separately — it does not entitle you to a refund of the original milestone.

Errors on our side

If a delivered file doesn’t match what was agreed because of our error, we will correct it at no extra charge. This is our first remedy before any refund is considered.

How to request a cancellation or refund

Email contact@gmr3d-engineering.com with your project details. For Upwork engagements, contract-level cancellations and refunds are handled through Upwork directly.

Changes
